Toggle (toggle.social) is an iPhone app that opens Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X, Threads, Reddit, LinkedIn, Facebook and Snapchat inside one app with their feeds switched off. The app is free to download, paid after the 7-day trial. Its two browser extensions are free.
What Toggle costs
Prices below are US App Store prices checked on October 24, 2026. Local prices vary by country.
| Price | Notes | |
|---|---|---|
| Free trial | $0 for 7 days | Starts with either plan; the full app, nothing held back |
| Toggle Weekly | $6.99 a week | Renews weekly until cancelled |
| Toggle Yearly | $99 a year | Renews yearly until cancelled |
| Chrome extension | Free | No account, no paid tier |
| Safari extension | Free | Coming to the Mac App Store |
Billing is handled by Apple through your Apple Account, like any App Store subscription. Toggle never sees your card.
What the subscription is for
The subscription is for Toggle, the app: the nine services inside one app, the switches for each, the native header, tab bar and comment sheets, notifications through Toggle's relay, Home Screen icons, the share sheet and everything else on the iPhone page. There is one plan in two billing periods, and neither adds anything the other lacks. Everything in Toggle comes with either one; there are no tiers, add-ons or in-app extras.
Toggle is built by one person and shows no ads of its own and no account system, so the subscription is what pays for it.
After the trial
The App Store description says it plainly and so does this page: the app can't be used without a subscription after the 7-day trial. If you let the trial lapse without subscribing, the app waits until you do. Nothing else changes. Your logins to each service stay on your iPhone, and your accounts on Instagram, YouTube and the rest are exactly as they were, because Toggle never had an account of yours to begin with.
How to cancel
Cancelling works the way every Apple subscription does:
- Open iPhone Settings and tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions, then Toggle.
- Tap Cancel Subscription (or Cancel Free Trial) and confirm.
Toggle's own Settings has a link that takes you to the same Apple screen. A cancelled subscription keeps running until the end of the period you paid for; Apple's support page, linked below, explains how a cancellation during a free trial takes effect. There is nothing to cancel on toggle.social, because there is no Toggle account.
The free extensions
The Chrome extension is free on the Chrome Web Store with no paid tier, and Toggle for Safari, also free, is coming to the Mac App Store. Both hide Reels, Shorts, For You feeds, Explore, suggested posts and like counts on the desktop sites, site by site, with no account and nothing sent anywhere. If you only want the desktop sites changed, you never need to pay for anything.
Who should not pay for Toggle
- Android users: there is no Android app. The Chrome extension works on a computer.
- Anyone who wants parental control: Toggle is self-control, and the person who set it up can turn everything off.
- Anyone who only needs the desktop sites fixed: use the free extensions.
- Anyone who wants a one-time purchase: Toggle is a subscription only.
Before you decide, the getting started guide shows what the first five minutes look like, and the FAQ answers the questions people ask before installing.
